I'm really pleased to announce that I have been long listed for the Jackson's Painting Prize 2021. This is Meldon Quarry pained during second lockdown when I managed to paint every day for the whole of that lockdown period. I entered 5 pieces and this one was selected. These paintings have kept me grounded and centred as I have headed out into the landscape. they are the craft that enables my art to fly once i'm back in the studio. it is important to recognise their place within my practice. they are not a separate bread and butter thing, they are part of the structure of my daily artist journey.
