Ancient Oak, Morton Park Wood - 10/11/2022

On a grey day a wood is a great place to paint because the light is often really lovely still. This ancient oak made a great subject. Lovely colours and textures. It took two attempts to draw it though! It’s is so huge I wanted to show that but also have enough tree to describe its twisting and turning branches.
