Bucks Mills Cabin From the Beach - 27/08/2022

This view is in one of Mary Stella Edwards's paintings of Bucks Mills. The huge shape of the lime kiln looking like it might be a castle but is not! All the area around is very much out of bounds but it has a monumental quality to it like it might be something more than a kiln. There was beautiful sunlight giving the whole view strong lighting and drama. I have been working in my sketchbook today as well and with a watercolour painting. When I got back to the cabin I realised I had got the angle of the cabin wrong and had to rework that bit! Good job I was so close!
