Painting in the garden again today and drawn to the agapanthus. The colour was quite hard as I have not brought purple with me and colour matching didn’t seem to quite work. I seem to have to struggle with this one and rubbed quite a lot of it out which made a really interesting surface but I have left visible in the finished painting. Phia came out and we talked about the painting and how it was finished already which stopped me overworking it.
