Dartmoor can be tricky to paint as the clouds can hide it completely or play tricks with the light. Today it was so windy as well so we headed to Kathryn’s parents' farm and painted from the summer house under the veranda. Dartmoor came and went through wonderful dramatic clouds and muted sunlight. Of course as soon as we finished painting the forecast rain did not arrive but the sun came out and Dartmoor was in full view! I like the drama though and the wonderful light. We did walk up a Tor on our way home and found great places to paint on a day when it’s not so windy!
