In Tapeley park today and these fallen Monterey Pines caught our attention. They have come down in the storms. Looking them up, their symbolism is hope and pity. As they are fallen they could be pitied but they hold so much hope, the tables, chairs workbenches, planks of wood etc that they might contain, not to mention warming fires or late-night campfires! It helps me to think about perspective!
