It was a great old day today, but there was a lovely sense of distance that we could observe through colour. We started the session looking at two wonderfully inspiring artists; Barbara Rae and David Hockney. This was a good way to think about the colours we use and how they can be different to what we’re seeing but still describe the place and light and weather of that day and time. We were on the 5th hole I think of the golf course and I was struck by this pot bunker (?) and the echo of it throughout the landscape.
